Dameron-PiersonMrs. Collins is an ardent supporter of printmaking and espouses its intimate relationship to the study of graphic design and typography. In the classroom she uses the disciplines of intaglio printing to teach the use of line and the grid, both crucial in print layout, but also necessary for understanding how to design for the worldwide web.

This image is one in a series of 40” archival pigment prints from engraved die “wrappers” that will be exhibited at NOCCA|Riverfront in November, later this year the images will also be published in “Constance 2”. This past spring 36” X 34” archival pigment prints, extreme enlargements of original three-color commercial engravings by Mrs. Collins were exhibited in “On the Edge” a gallery series also at NOCCA.
